Maidstone-based direct sales and marketing specialists, Lions Direct Limited, travelled to London this past weekend to take part in a two-day business event held at the 4-Star Park Plaza London Riverbank.

Business owners and sales and marketing professionals from across the UK were invited to attend the event, scheduled with the objective to provide delegates with vital information to enable them to boost productivity and take their business forward in the final quarter of the year.

Day one, Saturday, August 4th was for business owners and recruitment specialists. The conference commenced at 10 a.m. and the day was divided into three sessions. The first seminar of the day involved all delegates. They had the opportunity to hear from five keynote speakers who covered topics including; writing engaging ad content, creating and following a daily / weekly schedule, using computer software, headhunting, and common mistakes.

After lunch, business owners and recruitment specialists were divided into two groups to attend tailored seminars. The business owners, including Mr Nosal, were addressed by five guest speakers, comprising of some of the most successful individuals in the UK direct sales and marketing industry. Each speaker covered a specialist topic including; having a vision, recruiting vs interviewing, how to reset and produce rapid growth, training, running effective business trips, and how to identify and develop the next rising star.

Day two was business owners only, with delegates being divided into four groups, based on the size of their business. Mr Nosal was in the first group, comprising mostly of rookie business owners. There were five keynote speakers in the session, covering; putting systems in place to grow, rebounding from failures, how to increase talent retention, the recruitment pipeline and how to grow a business effectively.

After the event came to a close, delegates had the opportunity to socialise and network. Mr Nosal considers networking to be pivotal to business success. The Lions Direct Limited CEO urges the firm’s contractors to capitalise on every opportunity to make new connections and forge business relationships.
